Privacy
What we keep, and what we don’t.
Short, because a showcase needs very little to keep.
If you only read
The server keeps ordinary access logs (address, page, time) for a short period to keep the site running and to notice abuse. There are no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels and no cross-site identifiers. The one thing that loads from someone else’s servers is the videos, below.
Videos
Posted videos, their thumbnails and previews are stored and streamed by Bunny.net, a video host. When you watch one, your browser fetches it from Bunny, which sees your address and which video it served, as any web host does, and nothing else about you.
If you have an account
- Email — to sign in, to confirm you are reachable, and to reset your password. Never shown anywhere, never given to anyone.
- Name, handle, bio, links — public, on your page and on your posts.
- What you post — the video, the product, the recipe and the numbers are public; that is what posting is.
- Upvotes — each post shows how many it has, never who gave them.
- Your videos’ numbers — views are public on each post; clicks, and the day-by-day chart, are shown only to you.
Views and clicks
Each post counts how often its video is played and how often someone clicks through to the product, so its maker can see what posting did. A visitor is recognised for one day only, by a code made from their address and browser that changes daily and is never stored with anything else — enough to count them once, never enough to say who they are or what else they watched. No cookie is set for it.
Transactional only: confirming your address and resetting your password. No newsletter, no marketing. Messages go through a delivery provider, which sees the address and the message and nothing else about you.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
- Build a profile of what any one person looked at.
Your rights, and who to ask
You can see, correct and delete what we hold about you. Deleting an account removes your email, name, profile, posts and their videos. A removed post leaves only its address behind, empty, so it never points at somebody else’s product. Backups that still hold your data age out within 30 days. Ask at support@moneywaste.show.
MoneyWaste is operated from India. Where the law where you live gives you further rights, they apply. Terms are separate and shorter.
